CUUATS ITS Process

CUUATS began the process of creating an ITS Regional Architecture in April 2004. Staff created a summary sheet about ITS, a list of potential stakeholders, and surveys to assist in data collection for the architecture. In October 2004, the first stakeholder workshop was held to discuss available and planned information technologies, participating agencies, and how information flows between agencies, the technologies, and the public.

Since October 2004, staff has been working on the Regional ITS Architecture by entering data into the Turbo Architecture software, meeting one-on-one with stakeholders to revise and confirm information flows, and conducting the second stakeholder workshop, which focused on verifying the overall Architecture.

The ITS Report was approved by the stakeholders based on changes they offered during the second workshop. The report is considered final once received by FHWA.
