Stimulus Funding in Champaign County

In early 2009, CCRPC created a list of "shovel ready" projects titled 2009 Project Profiles for Champaign County, Illinois to prepare for federal stimulus funding opportunities. Over 20 agencies submitted 125 projects worth $546 million.  This report was distributed to relevant funding agencies at local, state and federal levels and to area legislators.

In May 2010, this report was followed by the Update on 2009 Stimulus Funding for Champaign County, Illinois. CCRPC staff researched the official Federal and State recovery websites to create a comprehensive list of stimulus funding awarded in Champaign County. Over $162 million was received by 63 agencies and businesses.
