Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF)
County defined benefit retirement program. The employee contributes 4.5 % of their gross. After one year of participation IMRF also provides disability payments at half pay and life insurance valued at one year's salary.
Term Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment
Non-contributing by employee -- $20,000 term life insurance and $40,000 death and dismemberment.

Holidays: In accordance with the Champaign County holiday schedule, there are 13 paid holidays in 2011.
Additional Options
In addition to the above benefits, employees can purchase by payroll deduction term life insurance and a variety of optional policies. The County offers Section 125 and 457 B Deferred Compensation Plans. Direct deposit of payroll checks and membership in the University of Illinois Employees Credit Union are also offered.
