Planning & Community Development
Planning and Community Development
The Planning & Community Development Division includes a range of programs addressing policy analysis, planning processes, demographic, economic, environmental and geo-spatial information, development, public, business and housing finance, and technical analysis. Most services are contractual or are funded and governed pursuant to intergovernmental agreements. Some functions are funded directly by CCRPC membership. Some of the programs are provided by contract outside Champaign County. In that case, an extra 10% is added to the indirect charge to ensure that Champaign County programs do not cross subsidized services provided outside the County.
The services of the Planning & Community Development Division are provided in six program areas:
- Business and Community Loans
- Champaign County Geographic Information System Consortium
- Champaign Urbana Urbanized Area Transportation Study
- Economic Development
- Planning Services
- Regional Services
