Champaign County Head Start/Early Head Start supports children and families through various child health and development services. Health and nutrition services ensure that every child receives comprehensive health care, including medical, dental, mental health and nutrition services. Educational services allow children to participate in a variety of age appropriate learning experiences to foster intellectual, social, emotional and physical growth. Special Services meets the needs of children with delays or disabilities by coordinating with early intervention and early childhood programs to provide appropriate developmental services. Up to 10% of Head Start/Early Head Start enrollment opportunities can be for children with disabilities.

Mental Health services include classroom observations, individual and family counseling, and mental health assessments for children and families who have a need for such services.
