Transportation (CUUATS)

Champaign Urbana Urbanized Area Transportation Study (CUUATS) is the transportation entity of the Champaign County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC), which is the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) responsible for administering the federally mandated transportation planning process for the Champaign-Urbana-Savoy-Bondville Urbanized Area.

Draft Documents for Public Review

A 30-day public comment period for the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) including the State Projects tables will begin on June 25, 2009 and end on July 27, 2009. Please visit the TIP webpage to view the document.

The University District Crosswalk Markings and Signage book was updated in June 2009.

2009 Greenways and Trails maps are now available! These full-color 18x24 maps are free to the public. Please visit our G&T Maps webpage to view or print the maps in PDF format. If you would like a map sent to you, please contact Gabe Lewis at (217) 328-3313 or glewis@ccrpc.org.

The Champaign County Greenways & Trails Design Guidelines were amended by the Technical & Policy Committees in April 2009 to include the new Greenways & Trails Logos and Signage.

CUUATS has begun updating the Long Range Transportation Plan for the urbanized area. For more information on documents, public participation and the project visit our website.

CUUATS American Recovery and Reinvestment Act website has been created to track stimulus funding in the urbanized area. For more information visit our website.

In February 2009, CCRPC published the Champaign-Urbana Safe Routes to School Report in association with the Champaign-Urbana Safe Routes to School Project.
