This seminar will give street level personnel the tactical edge when confronting urban street gangs that have migrated to downstate communities. The program will address current gang identifiers, tracking methods, interview techniques, and suppression tactics that have been successful in other jurisdictions.

The seminar will feature an exclusive interview with a leading Chicago Latin
King Gang member turned government witness (permission granted by ATF).
The video addresses gang recruitment in the schools, traffic stops and other
police encounters, interviews/interrogations, communication while in custody,
and other relevant topics that reinforce the seminar objectives. (The
interview was conducted by the instructor in August 2008.)
