This course will provide a comprehensive
examination of search and seizure law in a manner that integrates and reconciles
new cases with existing doctrine. Both days will be devoted exclusively to
search and seizure issues, allowing ample opportunity for student-instructor
interaction.
Instruction will include the latest decisions from the U.S. Supreme Court
and Illinois' supreme and appellate courts, as well as selected decisions from
federal circuit courts.
This course is funded by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards
Board through a grant from the Illinois Terrorism Task Force. Search and
seizure issues related to terrorism and terrorism investigation will be
addressed.
