John L. Larsen
is a former FBI Senior Team Leader for the Chicago Division's Evidence Response
Team (ERT). As a case agent, Mr. Larsen investigated the UNABOM and the
Jeffrey Erickson escape attempt in which two federal officers were murdered.
The latter case earned Mr. Larsen the U.S. Marshals Service "Investigator of the
Year Award" for 2002.
Special assignments he undertook while at Chicago ERT include: the 1994 American
Eagle Crash, the 1996 Summer Olympics Centennial Park bombing, the 1998 U.S.
Embassy bombing in Kenya, and the 9/11/2001 United Airlines Flight 93 crash site
in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Mr. Larsen teaches on behalf of the Suburban
Law Enforcement Academy (SLEA), College of DuPage.
