Field Training Associates
Bruce Sokolove is
a principle of Field Training Associates (FTA), a Michigan-based law enforcement
consulting firm specializing in public safety human resources administration,
training issues and employee mentoring processes. FTA has assisted over
3,600 public safety agencies in the United States and Canada in the design,
implementation, revision and administration of formal mentoring processes for
probationary law enforcement personnel, newly assigned/promoted investigators,
and probationary corrections officers and telecommunicators.
FTA's instruction reaches line-level personnel to chief administrative executives at numerous public safety training centers. FTA also provides assistance to public safety agencies in the defense of probationary employee wrongful discharge proceedings before administrative hearings and judicial tribunals (State, Federal and Crown Courts). FTA provided the Lead Instruction for 20 years for Field Training & Evaluation courses within the Police Training Division of the Center for Public Safety (formerly the Traffic Institute) at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
