Colonel Dave Grossman

Lt. Col.
Dave Grossman is a former Airborne Ranger, Infantry Officer, and West Point
Psychology Professor with 23 years experience in leading U.S. soldiers
worldwide. He was a trainer of police, first responders, and health
professionals immediately following the shootings in Jonesboro, Arkansas;
Springfield, Oregon; and Littleton, Colorado.
Col. Grossman is a
former Professor of Military Science at Arkansas State University and is an
internationally recognized speaker in the field of human aggression and the
roots of violence and violent crime. He authored the Pulitzer-nominated
book, On Killing: The Psychological Cost of Learning to Kill in War, as
well as a second publication entitled Stop Teaching Our Kids to Kill.
His most recent book, On Combat: The Psychology and Physiology of Deadly
Conflict in War and in Peace, was co-authored by Loren Christensen.
Col. Grossman retired from the Army in February 1998 and has devoted himself
full-time to teaching, writing, speaking, and research. He is on the road
nearly 300 days a year, training elite military and law enforcement
organizations worldwide about the reality of combat.
