TBRA (Tenant-Based Rental Assistance)

Program Purpose

The purpose of the Champaign County Regional Planning Commission’s TBRA (Tenant-Based Rental Assistance), program is to help homeless households obtain housing and near-homeless retain housing.

About the Program

The Tenant-Based Rental Assistance program is a subsidized rent program that pays a portion of rent for up to two years for participants with a written self-sufficiency plan that shows they will be able to pay full rent, without assistance, when they exit the program.
