The FCD Program will help you examine where you stand and chart your progress based on the areas the program examines:
During your first meeting with a specialist, you will explore your family strengths, resources, and vision for your future. By using the family self-sufficiency assessment tool we will determine your self-sufficiency score based on the ten areas the program examines. Together we will use special tools to help understand your family's priorities. Based on your vision for the future, staff will help you plan both short and long term goals, and list the things you'll need to do to meet those goals. As you meet regularly with your specialist, you will receive support and encouragement to help you prepare and adjust to employment, think through difficult situations, find and use community resources, and build on your strengths. Staff will be there to help you meet your goals. As you complete tasks and achieve your goals, you'll be able to see your progress. The FCD Program can:
