| Long Range Transportation Plan | |
|
CUUATS staff began updating the LRTP for 2040 in July of 2012. The LRTP is a document that details how the local area transportation system should evolve over the next 25 years. This document must be updated every five years as a requirement mandated by the Federal Highway Administration in order for communities in the urbanized area to receive federal and state funding for transportation projects. The latest LRTP document was adopted in 2009 and this proposed LRTP 2040 document is expected to be approved in compliance with federal regulations in December 2014. |

| Safe Walking Route Maps | |
|
Safe Walking Route Maps show students, parents, and school personnel where the safest routes are to walk and bike to school, in terms of sidewalks, crosswalks, off-street trails, crossing guards, school bike rack locations, and traffic signals. Maps were created for all public elementary and middle schools in Champaign-Urbana. |

| University District Traffic Circulation Study | |
|
The University District Traffic Circulation Study intends to provide transportation systems which would contribute to a pleasing
environment for individuals who attend, work at, and visit the University of Illinois, as well as those who live in the adjacent
neighborhoods. Providing a clearly organized system of pedestrian, bicycle, transit, and vehicular facilities is vital for creating
this environment. Improving traffic circulation and wayfinding, increasing the use of active travel modes (e.g., walking, biking),
encouraging modal connectivity and securing funding are essential to meet the transportation needs in the University area.

| East Central Illinois Human Services Transportation Plan (ECIHSTP) | |
|
The Human Services Transportation Plan (HSTP) is a unified, locally-derived, comprehensive
strategy for delivery of public and specialized transportation services that identifies
transportation needs, specifically those of persons with disabilities, older adults and
persons with limited incomes, lays out strategies for meeting those needs and prioritizes
the services. CCRPC provides an inventory of all transportation services within the Champaign-Urbana urbanized area (Champaign, Urbana, Savoy, Bondville, Tolono) and for the twelve rural county areas within Region 8 (Champaign, Clark, Coles, Cumberland, DeWitt, Douglas, Edgar, Macon, Moultrie, Piatt, Shelby & Vermilion). This inventory is available through the regional transportation directory posted on the HSTP website. |
