Car-Sharing:  Zipcar

This car-sharing program provides a sustainable transportation alternative and helps reduce the number of vehicle miles traveled.  It can also reduce the demand for parking spaces and encourage the use of active transportation modes of walking, biking, mass transit, and carpooling.

Members can reserve Zipcars online or by phone, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Zipcar members have automated access to cars using a "Zipcard" to unlock the door and drive away.  Gas, parking, insurance, and maintenance costs are included in the fees.  Zipcar also offers frequent driver and business/organization programs with additional discounts.  Join online at www.zipcar.com/cu.
